Newspaper/Newsletter or News Website
Your job is to create a newspaper, newsletter, or news website that is dedicated entirely to the book you've read (it
should be what your characters and their society would read about their society). It should represent the major events,
controversial issues, and significant themes developed in the novel. You are not just skimming the surface of the book,
but digging deeper into the society, the politics, themes, symbolism, and the character's situations. You'll first need to
give the newspaper or website a title that goes with the book. The newsletter or website should look as real as
possible. You should incorporate various newspaper/newsletter features including AT LEAST 8 of these things:
• News articles - an article explaining major events taking place in the story. What would be a big
important headline story for these characters to read about in the newspaper? You can also include
shorter articles about minor events. A normal news article is 300-500 words.
Example: If 9/11 happened in your book, this might be what you would write about:
https://www.businessinsider.com/september-11-911-newspaper-headlines-2018-9
. "Dear Abby" letters - You can change the name to fit the book. People write in to the newspaper or
website asking for advice, and the person they write to gives them the advice they need.

. Comic strips-you can use one that is already made (unless you are able to make your own) as long
as it makes sense with the novel.
