A group of researchers survey 1000 people about their caffeine consumption. The participants also answer a survey which predicts their pre-disposition towards having hallucinations. The researchers analyze the results of the 2 surveys to see if there is a pattern between the 2 variables, caffeine consumption and hallucination predisposition. The researchers conclude that there is a correlation between drinking at least 7 cups of coffee a day and having hallucinations.
