What is a Brain Dump? A brain dump is exactly what it sounds like: a dump of all the information from your brain on to paper (or screen). In other words, it's a page or two of all the key notes that you want to recall for the Milestone Exam. Get out a piece of 1. paper, 2. pencil and 3. straight edge if you have them. You will be uploading this to your connexus assignment for the day. At the top of the paper - write Brain Dump and whatever encouragement you want to give yourself. Now, 1. Draw a vertical line down the middle of the page. 2. Draw 3 horizontal lines as shown. For this step, Use the straight edge to draw a line with Arrows on both ends. Mark: -10, -5, 0, 5 and 10. The put the absolute value of -10 and 10 above the 10. |-10| and |10| Use the straight edge again, to make the coordinate grid on your paper. 1. Draw and label the x-axis (don’t forget the arrows) 2. Draw and label the y-axis (don’t forget the arrows) 3. Label quadrants I, II, III, IV 4. Mark the signs in each quadrant according to the example 5. Write (x,y) anywhere in the box. For this box we are documenting how to simplify and solve expressions and equations. 1. Simplify is for expressions with numbers - no variables. PEMDAS. 2. We write the MD and AS on the same line because we do them at the same time - according to what we come across first as we look left TO right in the equation. 3. To Simplify an expression with variables, do the first two steps under solve: Distribute and combine like terms. 4. To Solve one-step equations use the inverse operations. Try these: 5+c = 10 c -10 = 3 4c = 20 c/9 = 9 Now we will document helps for our data. Draw the box and whisker plots and graphs along with noting if they are skewed and mean or median. We will not document all the helpful info in Statistical unit, but this portion was the most confusion. Next we are going to add the proportion and ratio reminders: Line = Line = Line You can use it for: ● part/ whole or ● label 1/ label 2. ● Percents are percent/100. You might want to add th
