For the first part of this assessment, you will complete one short investigation.
Step 1: Go find a flashlight that will act as a star for the following questions.
Step 2: Stand about one foot away from any blank wall and shine the flashlight (or "star") directly on the wall.
Step 3: Slowly take 3 steps backward at a time, making observations about the brightness of the spot on the wall.
Step 4: In the space below, explain what happens to the brightness of the light on the wall the further you step back. How is it changing? How does the spot on the wall look at one foot versus 10 feet?
