Respuesta :

white males whom own property & paid their taxes.

The correct answer is white males who owned a certain amount of property and who paid taxes.

Before 1820, there were several restrictions on who could vote in elections. After 1820, this would start to change thanks to the presidency of Andrew Jackson. Andrew Jackson helped to eliminate the property requirement for citizens in order to vote. This opened up voting for essentially all white male citizens. The right to vote would later be expanded to African-American men with the 15th amendment and women in general with the 19th amendment.
