39 + ( 2+ 1 ) -2 x (4 + 1 )
First we have to solve what  is in the parentheses starting ALWAYS from the left side.
2+1=3 so then,
39 + 3 - 2 x ( 4 + 1) now we do the other parentheses
4 + 1 = 5 and now put them together and use PEMDAS.
In PEMDAS the "P" stands for parentheses
The "E" stands for exponents
"M" is for multiplication
"D" is for division
However, since multiplication and division is pretty much the same thing it does not matter which one you do first
The same goes for the addition and subtraction
But remember ALWAYS start on the LEFT SIDE
39 + 3 - 2 x 5
ok now we must do multiplication first because it comes before addition and subtraction on the PEMDAS chart
so it would be
39 + 3 - 10
Now since addition and subtraction is the opposite of each other we now start on the left side
42 - 10
Now you do the rest of the problem to find your answer and you get
32
Because 42 - 10 = 32
Hope this explanation helps!
