Developed western countries have been an inspiration to the non-western developing nations. The developed countries have presented themselves as success stories that need to be emulated.The political, economic and cultural approach of the Western countries is today considered as ideal and emulated all over the world. Non Western countries aspire to be democratic and embrace free market capitalism in order to achieve prosperity. Many countries had reforms to adopt their system of beliefs and those who didn't often had a civil war between factions supporting this new system and a more traditional approach to leading states. Culturally we've witnessed a global approach with western culture becoming predominant as the norm
