The balcony of an apartment is 4 feet by 7 feet. On a scale drawing of the apartment, the balcony is 0.8 inch by 1.4 inches, and the kitchen is 2.4 inches by 2.8 inches.
What are the actual dimensions of the kitchen?

the scale is 0.8 : 4  =  0.8/0.8 : 4/0.8  = 1: 5

so the kitchen has dimensions 2.4 * 5  and 2.8 * 5

 =  12 ft by 14 ft
