Doolittle's raid was an air raid conducted in 1942 by the US aviation on Tokyo, the Japanese capital, and also other specific places in the island of Honshu during WWII. It was planned as the retaliation after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, as it was the first time that Japan Home Islands were attacked. It was planned by  Lieutenant Colonel James Doolittle of the US army and aimed to enhance US morale.

Therefore, this offensive took place in the Pacific Theatre and not in the European front of WWII.
