Fees must fall campaign was a student protest that took place all over South Africa in the year 2015. The protest started as a result of proposed increased in school fees by the South Africa ministry of education. The two merits derived from the campaign are:
1. All over South Africa there was no increase in school fees all through 2016.
2. The Federal government was forced to pumped more funds into the educational sector.
Two demerits that arise as a result of the campaign are:
1. A lot of properties were damaged during the protest, the damage properties were estimated at 22.25 million US dollar.
2. Disruption in school activities as Universities were forced to shut down for many weeks.
