“The Man to Send Rainclouds” is written in 1967 published two years later in New Mexico. It is written by Silko.

The story is based on an incident which was happened in the hometown of Silko in Laguna, New Mexico. Where an old man died while herding the sheep, and he is given a traditional Indian burial.
