Answer: Physical change

------

A chemical change is a change in the chemical composition of a substance. A physical change is a change in the physical properties of a substance, such as shape, color, and volume. The gas is increasing in volume due to change in temperature, which is a property of gas. However, it can be easily be changed back into the previous 10ml volume. This makes the change a physical change, as the chemical composition isn't affected.

Taking into account the definition of physical change and chemical change, the sample of oxygen is a physical change.

Two types of changes can be distinguished: physical changes and chemical changes.

Physical changes are those processes that do not change the nature of the substances involved, that is, the substances are the same before and after the action performed.

In other words, the composition of a material system does not change and therefore its essential properties are maintained. In this way, no substance is transformed into a different one.

In chemical changes, the substances involved are transformed into different ones, with different nature and properties.

In other words, new substances that did not exist before the change are formed and the initial substances disappear.

In this case, the volume of a sample of oxygen gas changed from 10 ml to 11 ml as the temperature changed.  This is a physical change because the oxygen sample is the same before and after the change and its properties do not change.

In summary, this is a physical change.
