Honestly, men and women could both become victims to violence for the same reasons. For one, a man and a woman could become victim to violence over social media. For another, it could be marital violence. It can be a number of things.

1) Both men and women carry/possess money
2) Both men and women have power (with power comes people who wish to take it from you)
