At first, Telemachus doesn't believe it is possible that he and his father can defeat the suitors, who number more than a hundred best and strongest men from the country. Finally, he gets reassured by his father and puts faith in his words, agreeing to play the part in the plot against the suitors.

In the beginning, Telemachus is fearful and doesn't believe that they can beat the suitors. After all, there are more than one hundred of them and they are some of the best and the strongest men in the country. However, he is confronted by his father, Odysseus, who restores his faith and confidence. Finally, he agrees and decides to help his father conquer the suitors after all.
