Enkido lost his innocence and wildness. He lived with the animals, living like them. A hunter sent him a temple prostitute. The prostitute introduced him to sexuality and it tamed him and civilized him. He has become a self-aware man.

The epic explores more concepts of wisdom and knowledge as it tells the story of Gilgamesh's moral, ethical and spiritual journey to become a better man.
