it would be everyone's best interest for Carla to bring this major outright fellony to the attention of her boss or other appreciate supervisor quietly letting them know she needed the file for the continuation of work, hopefully it was necessary for employer. I think too and often others in society have not developped moral and stay stuck in serving their own immediate action interest.
The correct thing would be to advise Carla to report this situation to her superiors, as this is her responsibility, as an employee, to care for the integrity of the company.
However, to avoid compromising social relations between employees, Carla should ask her superiors not to disclose that she was the one who reported the case of embezzlement.
However, it can be difficult for Carla to report the dishonesty of a co-worker, knowing that that co-worker will be professionally harmed. However, Carla must be upright and honest in her work. This is part of a social guideline that must be followed for professional advancement, even if it undermines a personal value that Carla has in relation to protecting friends.
If other co-workers find out that Carla reported the case of embezzlement and act negatively towards her. Carla can be proud of her actions because:
- You acted honestly.
- She fulfilled her duties as an employee.
- She did not condone the crime of embezzlement.
- She kept her conscience clear.
- She has proven to be a reliable employee.
With this, we can conclude that moral and ethical obligations are one of the most important elements in the work environment, as they require an employee to be able to act correctly, in any situation.
