We're going through all the shapes.

A sphere has volume

[tex]V_{\textrm{sphere}}= \frac 4 3 \pi r^3 [/tex]

A hemisphere has half the volume and a radius is half a diameter.

[tex]V= \frac 1 2 (\frac 4 3) \pi (\frac d 2)^3 = \frac{1}{12} \pi d^3[/tex]

[tex]V = \frac{\pi}{12} (8.9)^3 \approx 184.6 \textrm{ cc}[/tex]

The volume of the given hemisphere will be equal to 184.5 cubic cm.

What is volume?

Volume is defined as the space occupied by any object in the three-Dimensions. All three parameters are required for the volume like length, width and hieght of cube or cubied.

Given that:-

  • hemisphere with a diameter of 8.9 cm,

The volume will be calculated as:-

V   =   ( 2 / 3 ) π r³

V  =   (  2/ 3)  π  ( 4.45 )³

V  =  184.5 cubic cm

Therefore the volume of the given hemisphere will be equal to 184.5 cubic cm.
