That statement is False

The only thing that we need to ensure smooth communication between different cultures is tolerance. By having tolerance, we can respect or at least appreciate the difference in other culture and not belittle them simply because they are not conforming to our way of living.

Answer:

It is not true that every culture should follow the same rules, standards, and values to ensure smooth communication. Every culture doesn’t have to follow the same rules, standards, and even values to gain an understandable communication. If every culture has to follow a specific rule, it will be difficult to be applied in a big city which has different climates and different models of the citizen.

Explanation:

Take the example of a large country. In this country, there are various climates and different models of the citizen, because they come from for various culture too. Thus, it will be difficult for a country to follow the exact rule in making great communication. A group of people must have their unique styles, way of speaking, and manners.

The Philippines can be a good example of how every culture doesn’t have to follow a specific rule and standard to make a smooth communication. Citizens of this country are influenced by different culture from other countries. Yet, Philippines citizens still have their own identity like:

·        Custom language as a sign of respecting the elders, such as “po” and “opo” or “mano”

·        Religion which is mostly Christians

·        Social beliefs such as folktale, legends, and beliefs in supernatural creatures

·        Food which is being well-known in the world

The bigger a country is, the more various culture is in it. Thus, specific values, standards, and rules cannot define to make a smooth conversation.
