Answer: Line creates conflict between major portions of the paintings.  

It is Leonardo Da Vinci's Last Supper which inspired   Raphael's School of Athens. This was seen in their use of lines that create conflict between important portions of the paintings. The lines also create a large setting for a multi-figure scene but a  unified architectural framework.
