Nice daysss ya'll.

The answer is True.

Escalator, yo-yo, & Aspirin were brand names at one time but they all became victims of genericization. It occurs when a few products are morphed from a single product, identified under a name to an entire product category. These brands were truly victimized as they had their trademarks cancelled in a court for the same. There are other brands also which might be under the same risk.

For Example:

1. Band-Aid: its generic name is adhesive bandage and is owned by Johnson & Johnson.

2. Bubble Wrap: its generic name is inflated cushioning and is owned by Sealed Air.
