This plan served as one of the early efforts of the management to develop a union of the colonies under one government for the defence and other relevant purposes.
This plan got a failure because the Colonists were worried about losing their own sovereignty. Colonists abandoned this plan because of their desire of the administration in the colonies to be simple.
