Respuesta :

y=mx+c
where m=gradient,
gradient= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
=(7-0)/(0-2.5)
=-2.8
c= y-intercept=7
hence,y=-2.8x+7

the simplest way to solve this is to locate 2 coordinates that fall exactly on the crossing of 2 lines -- this will help find the slope

so the 2 I used were (2,1) & (1,4)
now use the slope formula
[tex] \frac{4 - 1}{1 - 2} = - 3[/tex]

and secondly, to find the last blank we need to identify the y-intercept
this is just a fancy term for the coordinate at which the line crosses the y-axis
by looking at the graph, we can see it's (0,7)
but all we need here is the 7
now we have all we need to complete the answer

[tex]y = - 3x + 7[/tex]
