Jason's dad thought it would be great to take a drive to see some ruins. The drive was 23 miles one way. they want to stop and have lunch on the way to the ruins. Assuming Jason's dad would only drive in whole-mile increments, could they stop for lunch when they are halfway there?

Jason's dad can only drive in whole mile increments- not fraction of a mile

They can't stop for lunch halfway there, because halfway there is 11.5 and Jason's dad can drive the 0.5 miles.
