In the figure, M is the midpoint of AC and BD, and AC = BD. Mame a conjecture about the different segments in the figure. How would you convince someone your conjecture is correct?

M is the midpoint of AC.

So, MA = MC

M is the midpoint of BD.

So, MB = MD

Also, since the midpoints of AC and BD coincide,

AC bisects BD and BD bisects AC.

Hence, our conjecture is MA = MB = MC = MD.
