Theres different ways to do it....

way 1: 48+6=54

way 2:9 times 6= 54

  • k = Katie
  • s = Sue
  1. k - 6 = s (Written in an equation)
  2. or
  3. k + s = 54
  • Here's what I would do:
  • divide 54 by 2, You get 27

So let's say they have an even amount of ribbons, then they both have 27, so is we take 3 from Sue and give them to Katie. Because Sue has 3 less ribbons and Katie has 3 more, that makes a difference of 6 between Katie and Sue.

  • Katie has 30 Ribbons
  • And Sue has 24 Ribbons.

I hope I helped, as an Ambitious rank, a Brainliest mark would mean the world to me. Now go get an A on that assignment!
