Pun: "Frog parking, all other will be toad" (sign attached) It represents a pun, which is a play with words with FROG and TOAD as they have different meanings and TOW means to pull or hawl a car.

Irony: "A fire station burns to the ground". It represents an irony, as nobody expects that a place where fires are extinguished, will catch fire, as in a fire station, their job is to put out fires.

Sarcasm: "Sometimes, I need what only you can provide: your absence." It represents sarcasm because it is an insult. It is said that sarcasm is the ability to insult without everyone realizing it.

Hyperbole: "I'm so hungry, I could eat a horse". (picture attached) This humourous device uses extreme exaggeration to make a point. They are not comparisons, they are ridiculous statements, that they don't have to be taken literally.

Understatement: " Looks like it rained a bit last night" (picture attached) and in reality the person is describing a huge storm overnight. It adds humour to a serious situation
