A volunteer has 12 pounds of birdseed to put in bird feeders in all of the city park. There are 3 and one four cups of birdseed on a pound, and each bird feeder holds about 3 four cups of birdseed. How many bird feeder can the volunteer fill completely?

I will guess  that each feeder holds 4 cups of seed.

12 pounds times 3 and 1/4 cups per pound = 39 cups available.

39 cups divided by 4 cups per feeder = 9.75

The volunteer can fill 9 feeders completely,
