Diameter of earth= 8000 miles

Diameter of moon= 2000 miles

Diameter of earth= 8000 miles=4 ×Diameter of moon  ..............(1)

Distance between earth and moon = 240, 000 miles

As i have build 2 dimensional scale model of the earth and moon.

In this model, diameter of moon= 1 inch

So, Diameter of earth= 4 ×Diameter of moon=4×1=4 inches.............[using 1]

As, for conversion you have written

1 inches = 2,000 miles⇒ 1 miles=1 inches ÷ 2000

As given, Distance between earth and moon = 240, 000 miles

                                                                             =  240,000 ÷ 2,000

                                                                             = 120 inches
