B) Dramatic Irony
C) Situational Irony

Respuesta :

The Irony is "Oh, I just love Mondays," she whispers as she sinks her head on her arms." This type of irony is Verbal irony. Verbal irony is when someone says the opposite of what they mean.

Dramatic Irony is "understood by the audience but not grasped by the characters in the play."

Situational Irony involves "a situation in which actions have an effect that is opposite from what was intended, so that the outcome is contrary to what was expected."

The answer is A... Verbal Irony

Hi There!

Answer - Verbal Irony

The reason I say that's the answer is because verbal irony is often said in a sarcastic tone, and the fact that Helen has bad luck all day, then says "Oh, I just love Mondays" which is a sarcastic tone for what has happened that day. You know that Helen is not really loving that Monday.

Bad Luck Occurrences:

  1. Wakes up late Monday morning.
  2. Nearly makes the bus on time.
  3. The only seat left is next to a broken window.
  4. Then her teacher says pop quiz.

Hope This Helps :)
