[tex]\frac{-x}{4} \leq 1[/tex]
The first thing you need to do is cross multiply -
[tex]-x \leq 4 \times 1 \\ \\ -x\leq 4[/tex]
Your inequality has to be positive. Divide both sides by -1 to cancel out the negative sign -
[tex]\frac{-x}{-1} \leq \frac{4}{-1} \\ \\ x\geq -4[/tex]
The sign changes when the variable is negative.
