Cost: 200x + 500y = 123,000


Solve the system using any method. I am solving using elimination

 -200(x + y = 375)                   →   -200x - 200y = -75,000

1(200x + 500y = 123,000)     →   200x + 500y = 123,000

                                                                    300y = 48,000

                                                                    ÷300   ÷300    

                                                                           y = 160

Next, replace "y" with "160" into either equation to solve for "x":

x +   y  = 375

x + 165 = 375

x          =  215
