I’m kinda stuck .
Heres my question

Suppose that Terrence’s time for running is 2 miles was 2.4 min. slower than Joseph’s time . How many minutes did it take for Terrence to run 2 miles ?

Respuesta :

Answer: 12

Step-by-step explanation:

This question was confusing to me at first to, i had this question on my independent practice for hs, So if josephs time was 9.2, and his time was 2.4 mins lower then terrences.... All you gotta do is add 9.2 + 2.4 = (you get 11.6) and you round up. This is my way of getting the answer,

the other way is : (the way the video for school explained it)

t - 2.4 = 9.6

t - 2.4 + 2.4 = 9.6 + 2.4

t = 12

Does 12 -2.4 = 9.6

9.6 = 9.6

So, it took Terrance 12 mins to run 2 miles

Hope this helps!
