Control of railroads and canals. It was a huge part of England and Great Britain. It was strongly useful developed technology that Great Britain wanted to grow and expand. I get that it’s asking about England, however, since a Great Britain expanded much of its technology from its industry it also expanded to England and much farther. Great Britain took over India wanting to make it its own with their own government control. Railroads and canals set up in India, the US, Australia, and many other places in the world. I hope this helps!
