Joe has eaten 3/5 of a pizza. Jane has eaten 1/7 of a pizza. How many times more pizza has Joe eaten than Jane in an improper fraction?

[tex] \frac{3}{5} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{21}{35} [/tex]

[tex] \frac{1}{7} = \frac{5}{35} [/tex]

[tex] \frac{21}{35} - \frac{5}{25} = \frac{16}{35} [/tex]

Joe has eaten (21/5) times more than Jane.
Divide (3/5) with (1/7)...you'll get 21/5 
If you want to check this, multiply 21/5 by 1/7....you'll get 3/5 which is what Joe has eaten!

Now convert 21/5 into improper by doing long divison..it'll be 4(1/5)
