When Miss Prism reminded Dr. Chasuble that her name is Laetitia, she appeared to not being able to comprehend and understand what Dr. Chasuble meant when he called her "Egeria". Miss Prism wasn't as smart as she thought she was. Dr. Chasuble called her Egeria in reference to ancient literature he read and not because he forgot her name.
