Merchants and artisans were also known as slaves because they didnt have money or anything people mostly for merchants gave them no respect while artisans did get paid but not equally and not with respect. on the other hand ruling classes had alot of respect from it's people they were the most important they gave protection to its people some times they were cruel and selfish but people couldn't talk against them or they will lose their life, or there career (most of the rulers were cruel). the kings and queens were the ruling class bur queens were a little less respected then the kings cuz they were women and kings were men
