it's a bit too broad, I would start it something like this: There are many different themes in Jane Austen's novels including....(and here I would put three different example of themes. these 3 themes would be different topics in the rest of an essay.) In most thesis statements you want to include specific details, like what themes.
I didn't realize this wasn't for an essay, I actually think it's sufficiently narrowed, sorry!
