Some parents believe that public education does not provide the best education for their children, particularly when many text books condone beliefs that the parents do not share....evolution, same sex marriages, birth control. Also, many textbooks now omit key parts of our American history, in some instances, even re-writing them.
Many parents object to the mandated Common Core standards. Other parents are concerned about the safety of their children, especially worried about violence, shootings, bullying.
