From the right hand rule, when fingers are wrapped around the wire in a clockwise direction, the magnetic field is induced downwards hence the upper part of the bottom coil acts as the South pole of the magnet. Similarly, when the thumb points downward for the upper coil, the fingers are wrapped around the wire hence direction is clockwise. Therefore, the direction of top coil is clockwise .
