Answer and Step-by-step explanation:

If you see a number or fraction or anything we g beside it, such as:

4.2g

6g

[tex]\frac{7}{6} g[/tex]

^ That is grams

If you see anything with kg next to a number, fraction, e.t.c, such as

[tex]\frac{1}{2} kg[/tex]

5kg

6.2kg

^ That is kilograms

The kilogram is also divided into 1000 parts called grams. It is easy to remember as kilo at the start of a word means thousand, so 1 kilogram = 1000 grams. The symbol for grams is g, so 1000 g = 1 kg. megatonne is not actually used, although theoretically it could be used as a unit of mass.
