The earth's crust is usually of two types namely the continental crust and oceanic crust. These are commonly known as the tectonic plates where oceanic crust is denser than the continental crust.
The earth's core is comprised of a large amount of iron, nickel, and other siderophile elements, and is extremely hot. This heat energy is radiated into the outer layers, as a result of which the convection currents are formed in the layer of the mantle. These currents are formed repeatedly, where the hot magma rises upwards and forces the lithospheric plates (crust) to move from one place to another. This leads to the formation of three different types of boundaries, such as-
