Molly Pitcher was a patriot in the American Revolution’s Battle of Monmouth. She aided soldiers by carrying water pitchers and helped with cannon duty. Pitcher watched her husband collapse, not able to fight. She dropped her pitcher of water and took her husband’s place at the cannon. She fought the remainder of the battle until victory was achieved by the colonists.
