1. C Women were expected to work in factories in the absence of men. This led to the Women’s Rights Movement which demanded equality in everything from suffrage to equal paychecks
C. Women were expected to work jobs that had never been opened before but due to the absence of the men. Specifically in the defense industry. Once the war was over many women were laid off of the jobs. But within a few years, women got back up real quickly and by 1950 about 32% of women were working outside of home
