Well first we would need to find the slope of the two points...
- In order to find the slope we would use y2-y1 divided by x2-x1 we plug it in [tex]\frac{-3--2}{0--3}[/tex] or [tex]\frac{-3 + 2}{0 + 3}[/tex]
- we would get [tex]\frac{-1}{3}[/tex] as the slope of the equation
The y-intercept of the equation would be when x is equal to 0 and the y-value would be. In this case one of the points is (0,-3) where -3 is the y-intercept.
Your new equation would be y = [tex]\frac {-1}{3}[/tex] - 3
