Dissociative identity disorder is an accumulation of factors e.g traumatic event that has has happen at a point in that DID patient life. DID patient often isolate themselves from the rest of the world, situation or events that has violent tendencies  or painful experience e.t.c.
DID patients usually alter their identities but it differs in all DID patients. A DID patents has different identities and those identities has peculiarities and are not the same in terms of mood, attitude, race, religion , occupation, e.t.c . an identity or personality shows up  and controls the individual in every way especially their behavior and what goes on in their head. it is known as , "switching."it can be seconds or even minute to switch between personalities
