Treaty of Versailles was signed after WW1 and according to it Germany was to be blamed for most of the bad things that happened throughout the war. Treaty of Versailles had many articles, but for Germany is important that is lost many territories, including colonies, her army and industry were devastated and people in Germany were furious about that.
