Let it be x and y

[tex]\\ \tt\hookrightarrow x+y=30\dots(1)[/tex]

[tex]\\ \tt\hookrightarrow x-y=6\dots(2)[/tex]

Now

Add both equations

[tex]\\ \tt\hookrightarrow 2x=36\implies x=18[/tex]

Put in eq(2)

[tex]\\ \tt\hookrightarrow 18-y=6\implies y=12[/tex]
