Respuesta :

RNA acts like a messenger because it transfers the codes for the DNA because DNA is too big to fit through the nuclear pores

DNA is an extremely large molecule that can not leave the nucleus through its pores. So mRNA, a much shorter molecule, moves through the nuclear pores and carries genetic information to the cytosol for protein building.

--------------------------

The eukaryotic DNA is a single linear and extremely long molecule that carries the genetic information of the whole organism.

This molecule is protected by the nuclear membrane.

The nucleus has small pores through which small molecules can move.

Because DNA is too large, it can not leave the nucleus through the pores.

So mRNA synthesis is necessary to take DNA information to the cytosol where protein synthesis occurs.

mRNA is a much shorter molecule, meaning it can move through the nucleus pores.

It is involved in transcription and translation processes. It carries genetic information contained in the DNA -nucleus- to build proteins -cytosol-.

The RNA molecule is synthesized in the nucleus and then migrates to different cytoplasmatic regions where they perform their functions.
