Osteoarthritis is a disease which occurs as a result of loss of articular
cartilage in humans.
The cartilage is a connective tissue found between two bones and help in
the reduction of friction between them.
As individuals get older, these cartilages begin to wear out thereby bringing
about an increase in friction which leads to pain and inflammation of the
affected areas.
