Read the following scenario and explain the mistakes in Ana's mother's beliefs. Ana's mother tells her preschool teacher that she is concerned about Ana, who is almost five. Ana's brother and sister were both ahead of her when they were that age. Ana does not read any real words. She holds picture books and just pretends to read and gets frustrated when her mother asks her to do it the real way. Ana sometimes makes mistakes with her sentence structure and still has problems with buttons and shoelaces.

Ana is still young. her not knowing how to do these things is normal at her age. as time passes she will eventually grasp the concept and be able to. every kid learns at their own pace so she shouldn’t be comparing her to her other children. Ana’s mother needs to have patience when teaching her daughter.
